The Effectiveness of Rational, Emotive and Behavioral Program Counseling Reducing the School Bullying and some Irrational Believes among the Middle School Students in Riyadh City
Abstract
The current study is to the build of rational, emotional and behavioral Program to reduce the behavior of School Bullying and some irrational believes among the Middle students in Riyadh city. The researcher adopted the experimental approach based on semi-experimental design to verify the effectiveness of the program. The sample of the study consisted of (30) students from Riyadh City. They were divided into two experimental and control groups, each group included (15) students. The researcher used in his study the measure School Bullying prepared by Asubhean & Al-qodhah (2013), and the counseling program (prepared by the researcher). The researcher verified the validity and consistency of the tool and its appropriateness to apply to the study sample. The results of the study indicated that there were statistically significant differences in School Bullying between the average scores of the experimental group before and after the application of the indicative program for the benefit of post-measurement. It also indicated the presence of significant statistically functional differences between the average scores of both groups: Experimental and control groups on the dimensions of the measure of School Bullying and the total score after the application of the program for the benefit of the experimental group. The results of the study also showed that there are no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group in the two dimensions: post - measurement and subsequent follow-up measurement on the measure of School Bullying indicative program.
