Abstract
This survey study aimed to identify the role of the active learning strategy in increasing classroom participation in the equations lesson in the sixth grade, which is a method that makes the student exert all his efforts in classroom activities instead of being a recipient of information from others, as active learning encourages students to interact and participate within the work. In groups, the study examined students’ abilities to participate in solving equations before and after using the program. An action research approach based on the quasi-experimental method was used. The level of classroom participation in studying equations was measured before using the active learning strategy and after using the strategy. It was shown that According to the results, there was an impact of the active learning strategy in increasing classroom participation in studying equations in the sixth grade. The study recommended the necessity of working on activating the active learning system in schools seriously, and not ignoring this type of education because of its great benefits to the education system in the United Arab Emirates .
