Trainees’ Attitudes Toward the Use of the Training Platform in the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties’ Employment-Linked Academic Programs
Abstract
This study aims to highlight the reality of using the training platform among trainees enrolled in employment-oriented academic programs within the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. It examines the platform's impact on trainees' academic performance and attitudes toward e-training, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which emphasizes digital transformation and the development of a skilled healthcare workforce. A descriptive-analytical method was adopted using a structured questionnaire covering three aspects: e-training, the training platform, and trainees' attitudes. The questionnaire was distributed to a random sample of 47 trainees, and data were analyzed using advanced statistical techniques to ensure reliability.
The results revealed a high level of satisfaction with the platform. Trainees indicated that it enhanced their practical skills and academic knowledge, aligned with workplace demands. They expressed satisfaction with the quality of content and the effectiveness of the platform in delivering a comprehensive training experience. Furthermore, findings showed that e-training fosters engagement with educational content and motivates trainees toward their academic and professional goals.
Despite positive outcomes, the study identified technical challenges, such as navigation difficulties and issues accessing training materials. Variations in usage levels among trainees highlighted the need for technical improvements and consistent user support. The study recommends the continuous development of the platform to meet trainees' needs, suggesting interactive content design, 24/7 technical support, and improving the platform’s user interface. It also recommends expanding the platform to cover additional fields and specialties to better meet labor market demands and support the objectives of the Health Academy.
